This detector is a high powered pulse induction gold prospecting detector with Garrett's Proprietary Ultra-Pulse technology. Choose from four settings, each ideally engineered for finding all types of gold, from larger nuggets to sub-gram pickers
This is the lightest detector in its class, ranging from 4.2 to 4.7 pounds depending on the coil used. Carbon fiber is extensively used for strength and weight control.
There is a built-in Lithium-Ion battery, offering 16 hours of run time. A booster battery pack which holds 8 AA batteries can be added to extend this run time an additional 6 hours.
The control panel is very simple, easy to use and easy to understand. It has a volume and threshold control, sensitivity adjustment, ground balance and an iron check.
There are two audio options to suit the operator's preferences - PWM Audio and VCO Audio.
And the Axiom uses Garrett's proprietary Z-Lynk Wireless audio system, including their MS3 Headphones.
